OUR STORY

In 2009, our founder began working on a project intended to make an impact. The desire to focus attention on addressing a global concern, married with creating something one could "touch", resulted in Sosaba.

As the project evolved, we aimed to create a solution that could scale beyond accepted assumptions and that would be embraced by the construction industry and society as a whole for its quality, affordability, design and simplicity.

Our Journey

We worked for years studying what was possible and imagining what was next. We developed prototypes, pivoted  twice and found our rhythm.

Our solutions meet the market where it is now and where it will be in the years that follow.

01

At first the objective was to build aeroponics solutions inside shipping containers. We developed a system of modular shelving, cabinetry and components and learned how to work within the form factor's constraints.

02

We then pivoted into developing 14 solutions using shipping containers for at-risk populations - including homes, schools, clinics, workshops, offices, shops and dormitories. But something was awry. We couldn't escape the limits of life built around a metal box.

03

We realized our strength while developing concrete blocks that, like Lego®, interlock to create buildings which break free from the limitations of traditional construction systems. Unlike any other solution on the market for modular construction, our system is assembled laterally, offering an unparalleled level of adaptability and reuse throughout the lifetime of each building, and beyond.
